ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRESS

IVL is implementing a six-pronged Decarbonization Strategy to meet 2025 and 2030 targets in line with our net zero carbon aspirations to address climate change. This includes short, medium and long-term objectives encompassing greater use of renewable electricity, phasing out coal, boosting recycling capacity, sourcing circular feedstocks, and the pursuit of natural capital solutions to reduce and offset GHG emissions.

ROBUST GOVERNANCE

The Sustainability and Risk Management Committee oversees IVL Group’s sustainability activities and provides risk management oversight, including monitoring the effectiveness of the risk management framework and mitigation plans, and embedding sustainability considerations across the business. The Committee operates in accordance with the Sustainability and Risk Management Committee Charter and reports its findings to the Board.

As a global recycling leader, IVL is working with partners to increase the recycling of PET, having invested US$1.5 billion and committed to recycling 100 billion post-consumer bottles per year and using 1.5 million tons of post-consumer PET bale input per year by 2030.
